My Heartbeat
By Garret Freymann-Weyr
Ellen loves her older brother Link, and she's mad about his best friend, James.
Then someone at school asks her if maybe their friendship is something more... like maybe her brother and James are in LOVE with each other.
That one question changes all their lives.
"My Heartbeat" won a Michael L. Printz Award Honor (for 2003)!

OH MY, I'm so glad you included this title. One of my absolute favorite books, ever. Superbly written and characterized and absolutely heartbreaking. Really shows the complications and fluidity of sexuality. Love it, love it, love it.
Oh, I love this book so much! I've read it repeatedly and pushed it on everyone I possibly could. Every word is gorgeous, subtle and true. Very moving. Very real.
