Nidali was born in the US, but she's grown up in Kuwait. She's 13 when her family flees the Iraqi invasion. They go to Egypt, and then to the suburbs of Texas.
And in Texas, Nidali's trying to figure life out - kissing boys, and wanting one girl's first kiss... to be with her.
Thanks to Daisy Porter and her amazing "Queer YA: Fiction for LGBTQ Teens" blog for letting me know about this one! (Daisy's review is here.) Add your review of "A Map Of Home" in comments!
