Don't Breathe A Word By Holly Cupala
"Joy Delamere is suffocating...
From asthma, which has nearly claimed her life. From her parents, who will do anything to keep that from happening. From delectably dangerous Asher, who is smothering her from the inside out.
Joy can take his words—tender words, cruel words—until the night they go too far.
Now, Joy will leave everything behind to find the one who has offered his help, a homeless boy called Creed. She will become someone else. She will learn to survive. She will breathe…if only she can get to Creed before it’s too late.
Set against the gritty backdrop of Seattle’s streets and a cast of characters with secrets of their own, Holly Cupala’s powerful new novel explores the subtleties of abuse, the meaning of love, and how far a girl will go to discover her own strength."

I had our librarian put 'Dear Bully' on the school's next acquisitions list. Now I so want to read "Don't Breathe a Word."
Thanks for the interview with Holly! I've been hearing about the "Dear Bully" anthology, but wasn't aware of Holly's related book. Bullying is only going to stop when people take a stand, and bringing the topic into the open is a good start.
Wonderful post! I will be adding "Dear Bully" to my wish list. Thanks as always for this fabulous site!
All three of my kids were bullied in school. I'm glad to see people speaking out and taking a stand.
I just requested Dear Bully from the library. Thank you for this post!
Thanks for sharing this. Joanna's comment really makes me realize that I have to do more than just volunteer at our elementary school library. I am joining our town's friends of the library too. Lebanon, Ct. needs more open minds and less bullying big time. Thanks for the insight.
Thanks for these resources! I will have to check out the Dear Bully website as well as the book!
Thank you for sharing this! Both books sound great.
Yay, Holly! Yay, Lee!
I'm looking forward to Don't Breathe a Word! Great post.
